City Crews will begin the demolition of the Former One Hour Photo Building at the corner of 2nd Avenue South and 5th Street on Monday November 20th.
Please watch out for heavy equipment being used in this area during the demolition and please travel with caution in work zones.

CITY IS SEEKING INTERESTED PARTIES TO OPERATE THE FULL SERVICE RESTAURANT AND BAR ON A LEASE SYSTEM
The City is seeking interested parties to operate the full service restaurant and bar on a lease system. Successful lessee shall provide food and bar service consistent with the facilities available. Lessee, at its own expense, is to be in charge of and be responsible for the operation of the restaurant and beverage sales to be made on said premises, including all food, alcohol, and drink including the operation, ordering, preparation, and serving of same. Lessee shall also be responsible for staffing and personnel required for successful restaurant/bar operation. Hours of operation shall be coordinated with the City’s Golf Professional in order to serve the needs of the golf course and course operation.

MINERS MEMORIAL COMPLEX RENOVATION PROJECT - PRE-DESIGN STARTED
The State of MN Legislature has awarded the City of Virginia $12 million for the renovation and reconstruction of the Miners Memorial Complex. In order to access these funds, the City must begin work on a pre-design to be submitted to the State. Kraus Anderson has been selected as the contractor for the Pre-Design process. In the next year, numerous meetings and information sessions will be held to keep residents and community members aware of the progress.
