 The City of Virginia is seeking citizens in our community who are eager, willing, and motivated to become engaged by serving as a commissioner on City Commissions. Participating on a Commission is a great way for citizens to voice their concerns and opinions.

 The City of Virginia is currently accepting applications from qualified citizens to serve on the following Commissions:

HOUSING & REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

This commission oversees the management of the HRA for the City of Virginia.

 

1 opening

3 year term ending 2/01/2021

Meetings are held at 3:30 p.m. on the first Monday of the month at the Pine Mill Court

HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION

The Virginia Human Rights Commission gathers information and provides referral services to individuals who feel they have experienced discrimination within the City of Virginia

1 Opening

Term Ending 2/1/2018

Meetings are held the last Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall


COMMISSION QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be a qualified voter of the City of Virginia and must be a resident of the City for no less than one year.
