Applicants for Commissions must be qualified electors of the City of Virginia, and shall have been residents of the City for no less than one year.

The deadline to submit an application has been extended to 4:30 P.M., Thursday, February 11, 2010.
All commissions are made up of citizens volunteers.
All Commission members must be qualified electors and residents of the City of Virginia. The City of Virginia currently has 10 Commissions.

Requirements to become a Commissioner
All commissioners in the City of Virginia must meet the following requirements, as required by the City Charter:

Must be a resident of the City of Virginia for one (1) year

Must be a qualified elector of the City of Virginia.

Does not hold any other office or employment with the City of Virginia.
